United’s increasing Social Media presence

The airline is increasingly applying its social media presence and prominence as a means to communicate with customers.

“Star Wars” was just the perfect addition to elevate United’s social media awareness further.

United understands the importance of reaching out to its Millennial and Generation X demographics. Millennials, in particular, travel more than any other generation before them. This “internet generation” has also entered into the stage of their lives where they have disposable income for travel after getting established in high income-type careers.

Other special airplane liveries by United

Proven very popular, the StarWars livery is not the only “special painting” of airplane themes in the United fleet.

Varying between popular trends (StarWars and Spider-Man) to airline history, United special liveries include:

  • California Livery.
  • New York/New Jersey Livery.
  • Spider-Man Livery.
  • Eco-Skies Livery.
  • March of Dimes LIvery
  • Continental Heritage.
  • United Friend Ship.

And, let’s not overlook the sharp new look of United’s upgraded fleet livery, as described here.
