The United Airlines eagerly awaited Star Wars-themed Boeing 737-800 has taken off for its first scheduled flight with passengers.
The flight took off from George Bush International Airport (IAH) in Houston, Texas. It landed at Orlando International Airport (MCO) in Florida.
The flight marked the beginning of scheduled passenger flights of the exciting Star Wars-themed induction into United’s operations.
United’s increasing Social Media presence
The airline is increasingly applying its social media presence and prominence as a means to communicate with customers.
“Star Wars” was just the perfect addition to elevate United’s social media awareness further.
United understands the importance of reaching out to its Millennial and Generation X demographics. Millennials, in particular, travel more than any other generation before them. This “internet generation” has also entered into the stage of their lives where they have disposable income for travel after getting established in high income-type careers.
