The CAMO department is very essential for any aircraft maintenance organization. Maintenance organizations by themselves have engineers, tools, and equipment.

But to line them up for efficient operations they need a CAMO department. CAMO lines up everything in order. It performs management for the maintenance organization to meet its aims, goals, and objectives.

The CAMO department divides its tasks as follows:

  • Planning when and how to carry out maintenance activities, followed by a decision.
  • Organizing, dividing tasks, and assemble the work force.
  • The implementing phase is an important and critical task of CAMO. This is the phase where they will implement practical executions and calculate the results
  • In the controlling phase, they maintain a check and balance in order to ensure that everyone on their workforce is performing well and that their tasks are met.
